Ambitious secondary school students from Slacks Creek and beyond are preparing to come together for YES, the Young Entrepreneur Summit designed by young people for young people. The summit seeks to inspire and empower the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders through a number of presentations, discussions and interactive workshops.
Attendees can participate in a number of activities designed to build essential business skills including public speaking, networking, collaboration, entrepreneurship, financial literacy and teamwork. Sessions throughout the day will walk students through developing ideas, business creation, pitch development, and a live ‘Shark Tank’ style pitch, interspersed with a series of presentations and Q&A discussion panels.
YES is hosted by the Australian School of Entrepreneurship, a community-led organisation focused on delivering education, entrepreneurship and employment programs designed to helps Aussies of all ages develop the skills and resources needed to start their own business or thrive in the workforce. Their Young Entrepreneurs Summit comes with complimentary access to a 10-week ‘Student Startup Program’ entrepreneurship unit for students, designed to reinforce the lessons of the event.
