Potential entrepreneurs in and around Slacks Creek may wish to sign up for a how to start a home-based business workshop in January.
At the beginning of a new year, many people have thoughts of turning a business idea into a home-based activity. The effects of the pandemic have pushed many people into taking tat first step into starting their own business so they can reap the financial rewards, as well as the flexibility it can provide. Home business ideas can be anything from crafting to sell, virtual IT administration and support and other professional services that can be offered remotely.
The Logan Office of Economic Development is keen to support local people with their business start-ups and a team of dedicated Small Business Advisers will offer advice on the starting of a new business. They will provide a start-up checklist and a business action plan will be drawn up. Many new businesses employ business card printing services to help market themselves to their target market and the wider public.
The advisors will also provide attendees with an overview of the fundamentals of business and how to start one from scratch. This support, combined with the materials provided, will enable attendees to identify where they are in the process and what steps they should be taking next to get their venture up and running.
The How to start a home-based business – LOED Workshop Roadshow is being held at Springwood Community Centre, which can be found at 55 Cinderella Drive, QLD 4127 on 19th January, from 9am until 11am. The event will be free to attend.
