Word-based science to thrill young audiences

Families local to Slacks Creek may want to buy tickets for the Alphabet of Awesome Science when it explodes into the Logan Entertainment Centre in July.

This show is a high-octane inclusive treat, with Professors Noel Edge “the Science Freak” and Lexi Con “the Word Nerd” treating the audience to an hour of exciting word-based science. The premise of the show is that Professor Con has assembled a collection of favourite words, one for each letter of the alphabet and then the audience choose the order in which the letters are revealed, prompting Professor Edge to perform 26 exciting experiments to delight the members of the audience. There is also the added urgency of a countdown, as there is just 52 minutes to complete the alphabetical scientific showdown.

The show is designed to delight families and children alike, with previous attendees having enthused about the messy, chaotic pair with their dad jokes and silly pranks. When events like this are held, poster printing is often used to advertise the event within a community.

The Alphabet of Awesome Science event will take place on Friday, 8th July at 10am and again at 1pm, at the Logan Entertainment Centre, 170 Wembley Road. The show lasts for an hour, with doors opening 30 minutes before. Tickets cost from $15. The suggested minimum age is five.
