Upcoming multicultural job expo near Slacks Creek

The multicultural community in Slacks Creek and surrounding areas are invited to attend the Multicultural Career and Jobs Expo (MCJE), an annual event that is scheduled to take place in August.

Hosted by Multicultural Mailer Incorporated and organised in partnership with Logan City Council, the Queensland State Government, and Workforce Australia Local Jobs, the event brings together employers and jobseekers, showcasing the range of opportunities and resources available to help the multicultural community build and maintain connections.

The expo will host over 50 exhibitors and employers from across the region. Attendees will be able to explore real jobs on offer, interact with guides from different nationalities, and receive language support. They’ll also have the opportunity to meet and connect with employment, education and career providers.

Vendors exhibiting at large-scale events and expos can utilise Stationery printing, such as Letterheads, to develop attractive marketing and promotional items and to emphasise professionalism, uniqueness and personality.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their resumes, with the opportunity for on-the-spot interviews.

Last year’s expo brought together over 800 participants and 60 exhibitors, and this year’s event is looking to be a great success.

The event will be held on Thursday, August 15 at the Logan Entertainment Centre, 170 Wembley Rd, Logan Central. The expo will begin at 10:00AM and will conclude at 1:00PM.

Entry is free, but registration is essential. To register, visit the Logan Office of Economic Development website.
