Logan Art Gallery displays some of the finest art of artists from across Logan, from areas such as Slacks Creek and Kingston, from further afield in Queensland and from all over Australia too. The artwork featured in its exhibitions is often chosen for the way it celebrates the people and the cultures of these areas. The gallery is currently hosting three impressive exhibitions and has been attracting visitors and praise from all around.
The first exhibition is ‘Workshop Wonders X’ and features work created by those attending the Logan Art Gallery workshop program. ‘Queensland Wildlife Artists Society Inc: International Wildlife in Art 2012’ is another exhibition currently showing and features a collection of paintings, drawings, pastel works and sculptures of wildlife. The third exhibition is ‘Mark Davey: Natural Patterns’ which explores plants and flowers native to Australia. These exhibitions provide a varied and exciting selection of artwork that is sure to have something for everyone.
There is also a store at the gallery which offers art collectibles and other gifts. Many galleries use postcard printing to provide visitors with a small keepsake of the artwork they have seen and to share with others the art they have admired. Other than art collectibles, there are also jewellery, toys and a wide range of other products available at the gallery store too.
All of these exhibitions will be on display at Logan Art Gallery until 31st March 2012 and entry to the gallery is free.
