Slacks Creek riders called for cross-country trek

A supervised nine-day ride to Alice Springs, also known as the Red Centre, beckons Harley Davidson fans in the Slacks Creek area.

The Ride to the Red Centre is a joyous journey from Brisbane to Alice Springs in order to experience Red CentreNats (RCN). Overnight stops along the way will conclude with two days in Coober Pedy as relaxation before leaving for Uluru and Alice Springs for the beginning of RCN. Bike shops in the area may well employ poster printing to advertise biking events to enthusiasts.

The riding package also includes activities at all stops, entry into RCN and participation in leading the City Cruise at Alice Springs. There is also a back-up van for luggage, fuel and other equipment. In addition, the ride is led by a highly experienced rider with access to satellite technology.

RCN is a popular Festival of Wheels that sees a huge crowd come to Alice Springs, and where participants are legally allowed to drive their modified vehicles on the street for the three-day duration, from 1st to 3rd September. A new attraction for this year includes a Fringe Festival on 31st August.

The Ride to Red Centre is set to take place from Tuesday, 22 August at 9am until Wednesday, 30 August at 5pm. The ride begins at Gasoline Alley H-D, 3445 Pacific Highway, Slacks Creek.
