Slacks Creek area to host franchise event

An event designed to encourage those who dream of running a small business is headed for Brisbane this winter.

People in Slacks Creek who are curious about operating an enterprise of their own will soon have access to an event intended to aid them.

July will see the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre play host to the Brisbane Franchising and Business Opportunities Expo.

Small business owners and other entrepreneurs participating in industry events often pack professional Business Cards they can pass to potential new colleagues or prospective clients.

The comprehensive event will feature expert legal and financial advice and in-depth information on franchising to help budding business owners get started.

Commenting on franchising, Fiona Stacey, the exhibition manager, said:
“Anyone investing in a small business is taking a risk, however franchised businesses have high rates of longevity and success, with greater brand recognition and the benefit of proven systems. Basically, you’re in business for yourself, but not by yourself.”

The Brisbane Franchising and Business Opportunities Expo will run from Saturday, July 22 July to Sunday, July 23 in Hall 1 of the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event will start at 10 am and end at 5 pm on both days, and the centre is sited on Merivale Street in South Brisbane.

Delegates planning to attend can pre-register online to access discounted admission.
