Residents asked to take city pride to new heights

To encourage people to promote the area, the City of Logan has launched a campaign that includes an inspirational video to showcase local places and faces.

Logan’s own Dami Im, who was last year’s X Factor winner, performs on the video along with Jessica Mauboy and Justice Crew, with filming undertaken at several key locations around the city.

It was hoped the campaign would project a positive city image, and provide a sense of togetherness and community spirit in Logan.

The diversity of the city extends from a bustling commercial centre in the heart of Logan to the thriving industrial precincts of Marsden, Crestmead, Loganholme, and Slacks Creek, Queensland.

Mayor Pam Parker said it is now time for residents to demonstrate some pride in what the area has to offer.

Councillor Parker confirmed that, to accompany the promotional video, a number of positive initiatives had also been introduced. They included banner printing displaying photographs of local hidden features of the city.

Printing services have also been kept busy, displaying important facts about the City of Logan in Championing Change Booklets, as well as a coffee table photo book based on images provided by visitors and local residents.

One member of the City of Choice Leadership Team, Cath Bartolo, said that projects like the recent drive to bolster pride in Logan would have positive results in all of the city’s neighbourhoods.
