Logan City Council are Kranking up the fun for children and young people during the January school holidays with a series of low-cost or free events to cater for all interests.
Two separate Krank School Holiday programs offer activities for children 5-11 years and teenagers 12-17-years over a range of venues throughout the city. Programs such as this often use brochure printing to inform people what activities are available.
Activities for children range from Hawaiian flower making to a Ninja obstacle course and include water safety and swimming lessons at Gould Adams Park Aquatic Centre, go-karting and amusements at Kingston Park Raceway, knee boarding at Cable Ski Logan and clay sculpture at Logan West Community Artshare.
Teenagers can enjoy kayaking at Larry Storey Park, Waterford, martial arts at Tanah Merah, bubble soccer at Isle of Ely Park or JJ Smith Memorial Park, Greenbank. Furthermore, a culinary workshop at Crestmead Community Centre is on offer as well as BMX and scooter games at Jimboomba skate park, a surf life-saving course, a first aid and CPR course and a three-day workshop using computers to create an animated movie at Kingston East Neighbourhood Centre, Slacks Creek.
The full program of activities is available through the council website along with the costs, where applicable, as well as details of anything that participants need to bring along. Bookings are required and must be made with individual activity providers.
