Kingston East Neighbourhood Group in Slacks Creek have two events lined up for children during the Easter holidays.
Parents and caregivers have the opportunity to teach their children two important basic life skills through these fun workshops in April.
The first event, Kids In The Kitchen, is for children up to the age of 11. The workshop educates children about the importance of healthy eating as well as skills and confidence to prepare tasty meals and desserts. Children will develop knowledge of how to use different utensils safely. All recipes are easy to replicate and implement at home. Parents and caregivers must be present with their children throughout the duration of this event.
The second event, Youth First Aid and CPR, is for teenagers aged 12-17. The hands-on workshop teaches basic first aid and CPR in the event of an accident. Attendees will learn how to treat real life situations and injuries from a trained paramedic. This workshop aims to empower participants should an emergency situation arise. A certificate is awarded on completion.
