Wildlife displays will feature in an extensive programme of events to be held as part of this year's Logan Eco Action Festival (LEAF).

Residents from throughout the City of Logan, including Slacks Creek, Queensland, are being encouraged to attend the event to learn the finer points about living more greenly and cleanly.

Since it began three years ago, the event has attracted upwards of 15,000 people keen to find out more about ways to live more eco-friendly and sustainably, and Cr Trevina Schwarz said this year's festival was also expected to be well attended.

Cr Schwarz said LEAF was the place to come for answers to many questions covering everything from the installation of solar panels to volunteering to help community-based organisations.

She said some people were interested in making small changes to their lifestyle but were unsure about where to start, and many answers could be found by a visit to LEAF.

Flyer printing is already in full swing for the event, which will provide a mini village of demonstrations, workshops and stalls.

The activity programme includes Segway rides, wall climbs, jumping castles and giant slides.

The theme for this year's event, to be held at the Logan Campus of Griffith University on May 31, is ‘reducing avoidable waste’.

Attendees are urged to bring along reusable water bottles, as water stations will be available throughout the site.
