Dance class headed for Slacks Creek

A youth club in Slacks Creek will be holding a beginners’ dance class this spring.

Attendees in Slacks Creek can participate in this new class for novices when the suburb’s Police Citizens Youth Club (PCYC) plays host to an event organised by Paiti Entertainment. This November session will focus on the Ura dance from the Cook Islands.

Local providers of classes and courses like this one often work with professional brochure printing services that can produce engaging Booklets that advertise and drive attendance.

Ura is among the most popular of the Cook Islands’ traditional dances. It is also a sacred Polynesian ritual that tells a story supported by intense drumming.

The class will provide a safe, friendly space where community and culture unite. Open to all, the session requires no experience and is ideal for people reconnecting with their Polynesian roots, but also those seeking a rich cultural experience who want to understand the island art form.

The Ura Dance Class will now run at PCYC Slacks Creek on Thursday, November 6. The session begins at 6.30 pm and ends at 7.20 pm, and the club is situated at the corner of Compton Road and Kingston Road.

The price of general admission to the dance class is just $10 per person; however, for $15, participants can purchase a Bring a Friend Pass for two.
