Born in California, Arjan Singh Aulakh (later known as Arj Barker) started his comedy journey after attending high school in 1989. His first appearances were in a café, before he began making some TV appearances. His first appearances on Australian soil were in “Thank God You’re Here” in the early 2000s.
As the indifferent friend in “Flight of The Conchords£, Barker gained public interest and, after appearing at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2000, he chose to make Australia his home. Since then, Australia has welcomed him with open arms. A writer from Broadway Baby is recently quoted as saying:
“Excellent stand-up by an exceptional comedian.”
On the night, the audience will be treated to insightful, observational comedy from a man who truly understands the culture of his adopted home, and delivers his humour in a way that appeals to a native audience. The agent of a comedian or a venue promotor may choose to use poster printing from a local establishment in order to produce advertising material.
