Slacks Creek, Queensland residents will be among thousands to enjoy this year’s City of Logan Christmas Festival.
The live music event and food trucks will be taken on the road to visit five different locations throughout the city and spread some festive cheer.
City Image Chairperson Cr. Laurie Smith said the festival will bring together live entertainment, carols and Santa for a big Christmas roadshow.
He said the much anticipated free event on Calendars each Christmas was changed last year from being one big event for the community, to several events presented as part of the City’s Eats and Beats festival.
Cr Smith said the traditional Christmas festival’s new format worked well within the community, with each stop attracting great success. The pairing of Eats and Beats with Christmas favourites in the food trucks together with live music has proved a particularly good combination.
An estimated 30 food trucks will be on hand to provide an array of international cuisines to tempt the tastebuds and if people followed the festival to each destination, they would find it difficult to try everything on offer.
No Christmas festival would be complete without a visit from Santa Claus, who will be taking a break from his busy schedule to drop into the festival and hear what local children would like for Christmas.
The City of Logan Christmas Festival tour begins on November 18 at Jimboomba and concludes on December 16 at Logan Hyperdome.
