Celebrate at the High Country Harvest in Beechworth

The Harvest Celebration in Beechworth is loved by the local community and also by those in nearby areas such as Slacks Creek. It brings the community together and this year will launch a major showcase of the region’s food and wine. The event, the High Country Harvest, has been based on the much loved Melbourne Food and Wine Festival and organisers are sure it is going to be just as much of a success with the local community.

There will be different events held throughout the celebration such as the Producer’s Picnic, which will feature the produce from around 60 local producers. Here, you will be able to enjoy delicious treats such as chocolates, seasonal fruits, freshly roasted chestnuts and local wines and ales too.

There will be cooking demonstrations from some of the most well know culinary figures within the area such as Michael Ryan from Provenance Restaurant and Adam Pizzini from Rinaldo’s Casa Cucina. There will also be one-hour wine tasting sessions for those who are interested in local wines too.

The High Country Harvest promises to offer a day of family fun and indulgence and people from all around the area are being encouraged to come and enjoy exploring the food and drink of the region. The High Country Harvest will take place on 19th May 2012 at Police Paddocks, Beechworth.

Organisers of the High Country Harvest have used professional poster printing for the event and have also created a festival pocket guide too. These materials feature useful advice and information but more information can also be found at www.harvestcelebration.com.au/index.html
