A Slacks Creek coffee shop will soon host an event designed to help professionals in the area get acquainted with like-minded businesspeople to further their aims.
Business owners and other professional people based in Slacks Creek can participate in a networking session being held in the suburb this winter. August will find local café Extraction Artisan Coffee hosting an event by Bconnected Networking, which is inviting business-minded individuals to attend for free.
From entrepreneurs to executives, professionals joining networking events often prepare by ordering a stock of appealing contact cards from business card printing services to get more attention.
While the networking event is a morning meeting, it doesn’t involve paying for a breakfast delegates don’t want and finishes before the working day gets underway. Attendees are just asked to purchase a hot drink in support of the local venue.
The fast-paced hour and a half meeting has a fixed format. This includes 60-second pitches for introductions, a 10-minute educational experience from professional networkers (with tips), and a special Bconnected member spotlight followed by a group session for more personalised connections.
There are no forced one-to-one meetings and no set targets for referrals and visitors.
The free networking event will now be at Extraction Artisan Coffee on August 6. The meeting starts at 7.30 am and the coffee house is situated at 3375 Pacific Highway in Slacks Creek.
