Fortitude Valley fans of rock will be pleased to note that Grammy Award winning US group, Greta Van Fleet, will be beginning its Antipodean tour over two nights at Fortitude Music Hall.
Greta Van Fleet was formed in 2012 in Frankenmuth, Michigan. Consisting of the Kiszka twins, Josh on vocals and Jake on guitar, plus Sam on keyboards and bass guitar and Danny Wagner on drums, the group got its first signing five years later to Lava Records. The EP, From the Fires, won Best Rock Album at the 61st Grammy Awards in 2019.
The group’s debut full-length album, Anthem of the Peaceful Army, sat at the top of the Billboard Rock Albums Chart on release. The third album, Starcatcher, also came in at a very respectable number eight on the Billboard Top 200 chart.
The Starcatcher tour will demonstrate the band’s lively energy and will showcase singles such as The Falling Sky and Meeting the Master.
