A famous Fortitude Valley venue will play host to a legendary punk rock band from the USA.
Area residents with a penchant for punk can see The Descendents play live. All the way from Hermosa Beach in California, the iconic band are coming to the suburb to perform for one night only.

The Descendents formed as a power three-piece band in LA in 1978 with the late Frank Navetta on guitar, Bill Stevenson on drums and Tony Lombardo on bass. In 1980, the trio recruited frontman Milo Aukerman and soon became prominent players in Southern California’s punk scene. Their most recent release was 2021’s 9th & Walnut, titled after the location of the band’s first rehearsal space.
Fans of the group coming to the show can catch live renditions of classic tracks from The Descendents that may include “Myage”, “Suburban Home”, “Good Good Things”, “Silly Girl” and “Bikeage”, to name but a few.
The Descendents will now perform a live set at The Tivoli on Friday, June 12. Doors to the show will open at 7 pm and the event has a curfew of midnight. The gig spot is based at 52 Costin Street in Fortitude Valley.
