UK bedroom songster to play Fortitude Valley

A popular musician and producer from the UK is set to play in Fortitude Valley next month, as part of his first tour of Australia.

Cavetown, also known as Robin Skinner, began growing his following when he released the single This is Home in 2015, at the age of just sixteen. By building up a following through streaming platforms such as Youtube and TikTok, alongside collaborating with other artists such as beabadoobee, Skinner taps into the psyche of his fanbase by playing thoughtful, often melancholic songs that strike a chord with his listeners.

In 2020, he released his major-label debut Sleepyhead, which caused the NME to assign him:
“a bedroom pop hero, building a worldwide community.”

On his latest self-produced album, entitled Worm Food, Skinner switched things up a gear as he prepared to play live at premium festivals such as Glastonbury and the Montreux Jazz Festival. Promotional Products such as T-Shirts and Posters can often be created by local Print shops to sell at festivals as well as smaller, more intimate gigs.

Cavetown will be appearing at Fortitude Valley as part of an international tour that will cover parts of Australia, New Zealand and the US. The venue for the event will be the The Fortitude Music Hall, 312-318 Brunswick Street, and it will take place on Saturday, 24 February.

Doors open at 7.30pm, and tickets cost from $79.90. Adelaide-born singer, Aleksiah, will provide the support for the show.
