Fans of rock legends Van Halen in the Fortitude Valley area will likely want to get their tickets for an upcoming tribute act set to perform in a local popular venue.
The US tribute band, JUMP, consists of band members Michael Stephen (lead vocalist), Eric Sutherland (drums), Jarrett Cunningham (bass) and Cody Alexander (guitar).
Between them, fans and critics alike have noted how they manage to demonstrate the energy and spectacle of the rock legends they’re playing tribute to, drawing inspiration from the first six albums where David Lee Roth was the front man.
Not only does the tribute band sound like Van Halen, but they also dress the part. With hits such as Panama, Hot for Teacher, and, of course, Jump, the aim of the evening is to transport the audience back to the days of glam rock.
The band members may be young, but critics claim they provide an authentic experience of the David Lee Roth era of Van Halen, complete with skits and one-liners taken from the original Van Halen show recordings.
