Rock three-piece to play in Fortitude Valley

A rock band originally from Sydney is coming to Fortitude Valley.

As part of the band’s The Glow Australian Tour 2021, the DMA’s will be stopping by Fortitude Valley for a concert. Band mates Matt Mason, Tommy O'Dell and Johnny Took had already been playing together for two years before they officially formed a group in 2012. Originally known as “The Dirty MA’s”, the musicians later changed their name to the shorter “DMA’s”, as they thought it sounded better.

The trio quickly gained an audience with the debut rock single “Delete”, which was followed up with a 2014 self-titled EP. The same year, the group was signed to the I OH YOU record label, with Delete making the ARIA chart’s top 100.

Promoters of local bands can sometimes use flyer printing services to produce branded leaflets featuring a group’s motif to attract audiences to attend tours and gigs.

After the 2016 album “Hills Ends”, the DMA’s went on to have the track "Play It Out" featured on the video game “FIFA 17”, and the group supported Liam Gallagher of Oasis on his tour of the United Kingdom and Ireland. The DMA’s have also supported other UK acts, including Kasabian and The Kooks.

The DMA’s will now play at Fortitude Music Hall, located at 312-318 Brunswick Street in Fortitude Valley, on Saturday, October 2 between 7 pm and 11 pm.
