This year, the annual Brisbane gin festival known as Ginuary will come to Fortitude Valley.
The 2022 festival will be the largest Ginuary to date, with the top 100 Australian produced gins on show. Gin bar and restaurant Covent Garden in Brisbane has previously run the event at its popular West End venue, but it has joined CG Gin Co and Long Rays, plus other Australian distillers, to run it this year at a new location. The 2022 festival will be at X Cargo in Fortitude Valley, offering a 10-times-larger venue than Covent Garden’s West End property.
This year, there are over 400 nominees for the best gin, from which Covent Garden will name the top 100 as voted for by gin devotees. Voting is still open, so gin lovers can still vote for their favourites.
Ginuary 2022 offer free tastings in a "gin alley". Two separate gin bars, including Covent Gardens, will also be operating, serving gin-based drinks plus canapes. Organisers of festivals and events often find poster printing invaluable in engaging with consumers.
Tickets are available online, and there are plenty of options, ranging from the standard ticket, which will give access to the free tastings and canapes, up to a gin masterclass and VIP tickets.
Ginuary will run on Sunday, 30th January starting at 11 am at X Cargo, 37 McLachlan Street, Fortitude Valley.
