Hailing from Texas in 2004 and based in New York, the collective known as Snarky Puppy was largely unknown until there was a Grammy award in 2014 for best R & B Performance, followed by Best Contemporary Instrumental Album in 2016, 2017, 2021 and 2023. Consisting of up to 25 members on rotation, lots of the group have their own solo careers as well as collaborations with other artists. With a diverse background and heritage, and a genre that is somewhere between jazz, fusion, soul and gospel, the joy of performing shines through the music.
The current tour is mainly celebrating the seminal album We Like it Here although there will be other popular tracks performed in the mix as well. The New York Times described the band as:
