Followers of the dance music and club scene in the Fortitude Valley area will be pleased to know that top band Faithless are due to play a DJ set in Summa House in early January.
Faithless is a UK dance music band that was formed in the mid-1990s by Maxi Jazz, Sister Bliss and Rollo. The first album, Reverence, was released in 1996, with the stand-out single ‘Insomnia’, selling in excess of a million Copies.
The second album, Sunday 8PM, featured the single ‘God is a DJ’, which became a huge international hit and helped to establish Faithless as a major touring draw around the world.
Often political, this highly respected and anticipated band does not shy away from current news-worthy issues. ‘All Blessed’ was released during the COVID-19 pandemic and makes reference to identity and a lack of empathy.
The gig at Summa House will also feature a DJ set by Sister Bliss herself, as well as music from DJs Brett J, Mandy Onassis and Jeremy Broughton. Although Faithless has a loyal following, for maximum exposure there will be poster printing locally in order to display advertisements in the community.
Faithless will appear at Summa House, 37 McLachlan Street, Fortitude Valley, QLD, 4006 on Friday 5 January at 7pm until 1am on Saturday 6 January. Tickets cost from $27.78.Get a Free Quote for Copies
