Grassroots Energy is soon set to take over Fortitude Valley with the Gather & Grow Festival - an independent arts scene that is gearing up for its spotlight moment.
The one-day event, led by local creatives and small-venue culture, is an anticipated community-centred festival. For the new year, the event will celebrate four years of Moonbow Music and their community-building efforts.
Gather & Grow is seen as a celebration of grassroots artistry that helps to bring together emerging music performers, independent makers, local food vendors and creative collectives. The festival is well suited for the Valley, with its artistic and creative environment, and should satisfy both locals and visitors from the greater Brisbane area.
Gather & Grow has always focused on promoting Brisbane's creative culture in its natural Valley home. For 2026, however, it aims to expand its focus with multidisciplinary arts, combining not only indie and alternative musical acts but also visual artists and illustrators. In doing so, the event aims to continue celebrating community, collaboration and creativity.
