Comic fans are in for a treat next month as Oz Comic Con comes to Perth for the first time.
The event at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre will feature a host of science fiction and comic stars. Special guests include actor William Shatner, best known for his portrayal of Captain Kirk in Star Trek, and police sergeant TJ Hooker and Stargate SG-1 star Richard Dean Anderson.
Other guests include television and film actors such as Star Trek actor J.G. Hertzler and Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa. Voice actors and comic writers are also involved.
There will be plenty of merchandise options during the event. Printing companies, for example, will provide Posters relating to many of the shows and comics at the convention.
Attendees from Bellevue even have the chance to get merchandise signed by some of the famous guests. Other opportunities include the chance to have photographs taken with actors J.G. Hertzler and Robert O’Reilly in full Klingon make-up.
Exhibitors include local and international comic designers and artists, science fiction writers, costume designers and editors. There will also be stalls selling collectibles and rare memorabilia as well as fan clubs offering the chance to meet others with similar interests.
As well as general admission, special tickets that include autographs, photographs, and extra time with Shatner and Dean Anderson can also be purchased.
