A singer-songwriter renowned for her Americana style is bound for Fortitude Valley.
After the success of her recent hit single “No Vacancy”, Ruby Gilbert is returning to the stage with special guests JB Paterson and Jo Davie. Dubbed the “American sweetheart” of Brisbane, the singer’s voice has been lauded for its nostalgic and old-time feel, while her lyrics have been described as endearing and charismatic.
Gilbert gained an audience when she released her debut EP called “Dearly Beloved” back in 2018. Local bands and artists looking for artwork for EPs and albums often rely on Graphic Design Services.
Since the EP’s initial release, Gilbert has grown in popularity, receiving credit for her musical skills. She has been lavished with multiple nominations for Queensland Music Awards and played many major festivals here in Australia, such as BIGSOUND. A sough-after support act, the songstress has opened for the Teskey Brothers, Justin Townes Earle and C.W. Stoneking.
Fans of Gilbert coming down to the upcoming show will get the chance to hear live renditions of tracks like “Don’t Wear Your Best Dress”, “Oh, Bones”, “Cold Hearted Killers” and “Slave”.
Ruby Gilbert will play at the Black Bear Lodge at 1/322 Brunswick Street in Fortitude Valley on Thursday, December 9 from 7 pm to 11 pm. Tickets for the live music event are priced at $15 per person.Get a Free Quote for Graphic Design Services
