Fortitude Valley to welcome food and home styling spot

When the concept NUG. General Store opens its doors in Fortitude Valley next month, food lovers, home makers and the curious alike are sure to have their senses invigorated.

Focusing on fresh, local produce, visitors will be able to sample wholesome, nutritious flavours in soups, sandwiches and juices at indoor and outdoor tables, with an option to take food away. There will also be a cold-press coffee offering and freshly pressed juices, and in time, the store may be licensed to sell wine.

While enjoying food, visitors will be able to browse quality, local homeware such as decorative items, china and dining table staples.

The collaborators are Sarah Baldwin of Joy Restaurant, together with Jarrod Applebee and Shane Phillips of Finnley Home. Visitors will be able to meet them regularly to chat, as between them they intend to have a constant presence in the store.

The trio will offer a series of classes and exhibitions by local artisans to provide a link between the items for sale and their makers. Supplementing the use of social media, businesses like NUG. General Store often make use of local printing services for flyer printing so that all local customers are aware of new retail opportunities.

NUG. General Store is set to open in May at 690 Ann Street, Bakery Lane.
