Fortitude Valley to experience New York sounds

A band hailing from Brooklyn in New York will arrive in Fortitude Valley later this year to entertain audiences with their original brand of rock.

This means that music aficionados in Fortitude Valley will get a chance to witness TV on the Radio this summer. The Brooklyn band are performing a headline show in the suburb as part of their latest tour. Record companies and band managers often order low-cost but high-quality Promotional Products as tour resources that they can give out to concertgoers.

After a five-year hiatus, TV on the Radio returned to touring in 2024 and are now bringing their music to Australia. To date, they have recorded five albums in the studio and numerous EPs. Fans coming to the show in Fortitude Valley can hear a setlist of tracks sourced from LPs like “Return to Cookie Mountain”, “Nine Types of Light” and “Dear Science”, among others.

While the band have created an individual style that combines loops with rock guitars, they have also cited an eclectic mix of musical influences. These include Nancy Sinatra, Bad Brains, Prince, Earth, Wind & Fire, Serge Gainsbourg and Siouxsie and the Banshees to name but a few.

TV on the Radio will perform a live set at The Tivoli on Thursday, December 4. The show will get underway at 7 pm and the venue can be found at 52 Costin Street in Fortitude Valley.
