Festival feast for music lovers in Fortitude Valley

Music lovers will be treated to an abundance of music festivals in Fortitude Valley in the first week in September.

Fans are gearing up for the beginning of the celebrations with the eighth season of UBERfest, concluding its Winter Tour. Organisers say that UBERfest has been wowing crowds for the last three years, providing the music festival as a vehicle for independent and new bands from throughout Australia to showcase their talents. Two stages will allow more than 30 bands to perform over 10 hours.

With Denny Burgess of Masters Apprentices and Throb fame as the Master of Ceremonies, this is an event from adults only.

During the following week BIGSOUND will be presenting its 15th festival with a number of new and upcoming performers presenting their acts over 15 venues in Fortitude Valley.
Musicians from around the country, as well as international performers, will be taking part. More than 100 performers will feature, including Bec Sandridge, Tash Sultana, Confidence Man, Gideon Bensen, and Mosquito Coast. It is likely that Signs and Flyers will be inviting bands to register for the chance to perform and advertising to the public.

UBERfest will be held at the Jubilee Hotel, 470 St Pauls Terrace, Fortitude Valley on Sunday, September 4 from 1:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

BIGSOUND Festival will be presented from September 7 to 9 in a number of venues in Fortitude Valley.
