Coffee lovers in Fortitude Valley can celebrate this month, with the news that two of Australia’s best cafés are located in the area.
The Beanhunter app has listed its top food and drink venues for 2014, and one of Fortitude Valley’s coffee shops has come top of the list.
Ltd Espresso and Brew Bar was the café that dominated the ranking. The Brunswick Street eatery – which offers a selection of coffee blends that change on a regular basis, giving customers the chance to try something new – is rated 9.3 on the site.
Beanhunter is a popular iPhone app that allows users to review and rate the cafes they use, and to find new outlets to try.
The list has been compiled using the same rankings the site uses to create its top cafe lists in various areas. This includes the reviews given by users, the number of times a business’ page has been viewed or had photos added, and how many times it has been listed as a favourite.
Cafes that have made the list could use poster printing to advertise the achievement and to attract new customers.
Reverends Fine Coffee, also in Brunswick Street, is the other establishment to make the Top 100, coming in at number 20. The pair are among 26 Brisbane-based cafes that made the list.
