The changes to Brisbane are due to be completed in 2022, job growth is likely to increase as the $10bn is spent. Dr. Powell indicated that affordability of property is not just a matter for owner-occupiers, but that investors are also likely to be enthusiastic about parts of Brisbane because of prices. She maintained that the trend of more people coming to the city has been especially noticeable since 2015.
The future growth of Brisbane may have led to congestion, but plans have been made to alleviate the problem. A Brisbane Metro network should have the capacity to shift more than 20,000 passengers in an hour.
