A venue in Fortitude Valley will soon welcome a celebrated Aboriginal-Australian singer who has already achieved success in his new career in the music industry.
Nationally known for placing ninth as Australia’s Eurovision singer and for winning X Factor, Isaiah Firebrace will now play a concert in Fortitude Valley. From his humble origins as a small-town performer, the singer has seen him rise to become respected as one of the most gifted soul voices in all Australia. Of Gunditjmara and Yorta Yorta parentage, the young artist toured and sang with both his father and brother from the age of three years old.
Today, Firebrace has made his music a platform, serving his efforts to campaign for Australian Aboriginal history to be taught in national schools.
