Those living in Fortitude Valley who like their music on the darker side might wish to indulge in a Tim Burton evening, with the added opportunity to dress up if desired.
The British film director has a certain style, and maybe nowhere is this more well-known than in his 1993 film, The Nightmare Before Christmas. This and more of his films will be the inspiration for this upcoming event, with attendees encouraged to dress up in the style of films such as The Corpse Bride and Edward Scissorhands, for example.
Burton enthusiasts will be encouraged to join in the themed fun, where there will also be giveaways and the opportunity to have a makeover. There will be prizes for the best costumes, including a $100 bar tab. There will also be Plushie giveaways up for grabs, such as Jack Skellington and Oogie Boogie.
Themed drinks on the evening to help with the gloomy festive spirit will include Beetlejuice, Edward Slizzard-Hands and Pirelli’s Miracle Elixir.
Graphic Posters depicting the popular director and his works may be provided by local Print shops.
