A course designed to get dogs on their best behaviour will launch in Brendale later this year.
Dog owners can enrol in a six-week course with their canine companions in October. Titled Obedience, the programme is run by Pine Agility Dog Sports and admission is priced at $100.
Institutions and organisations that operate educational experiences like courses and classes sometimes use brochure printing services to create Booklets explaining costs involved, timetables and activities.
Led by Carol Lees, the class coordinator, the course covers socialisation, walking on a lead, commands like sit, stay and drop, and more. While the classes feature a diverse range of age groups, including puppies and adult dogs, to be eligible for enrolment, there is a minimum age restriction of at least 16 weeks for dogs, and handlers must be 10 years or older.
The classes can assist with all areas of dog training, but the course is not a standard puppy preschool. Instruction employs positive reinforcement for training, so handlers are asked to bring treats for rewards. High-value meat treats like beef and chicken are advised rather than just dry kibble.
The Obedience Course will kick off on Saturday, October 10 at the South Pine Sports Complex. Classes run between 8 am and 9 am on Saturday mornings and the complex is located at 620 South Pine Road in Brendale.Get a Free Quote for Booklets
