Prestons to present musical tribute to British icons

One of the longest running tribute acts to a hugely popular British band will soon be playing a live concert in Prestons.

Prestons fans of UK band The Beatles will get a chance to see one of the world’s oldest tribute acts to the famous four, as Australian band The Beatnix will take to the stage at a local venue.

Local community clubs hosting concerts and other music shows sometimes look to banner printing services to create special signage for events such as this.

The show was founded by Tony Dean in 1980 before commencing as a touring live act. The show works hard to replicate the look and sound of The Beatles, which includes playing musical instruments and equipment preferred by the band, such as guitars made by Höfner, Gretsch, Gibson and Rickenbacker, as well as using Vox AC30 and Vox AC50 amplifiers.

The drum kit is identical to Ringo Starr’s celebrated 1960’s edition of the Ludwig Black Oyster Pearl. They also perform in a range of The Beatles’ costumes from different eras.

The band has performed across Australia as well as globally in New Zealand, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Bangkok.

The Beatnix will now be live at the Liverpool Catholic Club on Saturday, June 15. The concert will commence at 8pm, and the club can be found at Hoxton Park Road, Prestons.
