A tribute band from New South Wales dedicated to a beloved ‘60s band is set to perform a live show at a social club in Prestons.
Local residents with a passion for the rock group The Doors can enjoy a show coming to the suburb. A tribute act titled “Unlocking the Doors” will be performing in the city for one night only as part of a continuing mission to capture the music of the ‘60s sensation.

The tribute band hail from nearby Wollongong and feature musicians dedicated to recreating a realistic performance from The Doors. The role of frontman Jim Morrison is assumed by baritone Rich, complete with primal screams and poems, while keyboardist Sandy works to produce Ray Manzarek’s organ sounds. They are joined by classically trained guitarist Mick as Robby Krieger and Lee playing drums like John Densmore.
Unlocking the Doors will now be live at the Liverpool Catholic Club on Saturday, June 27. The gig will take place inside the club’s auditorium, and the show has a start time of 8.30 pm.
