Festivals set to fire up in 2023

Prestons residents will be among many across the City of Liverpool to be able to enjoy three major festival events set to be introduced in 2023.

The new line-up will feature a Motherland African Cultural Festival, the Primavera Latin American Festival and Pacific Summer Festival.

Mayor of Liverpool Ned Mannoun said the new events added to an impressive list of popular celebrations ranging from New Year's Eve fireworks to the Starry Sari night which all add to the diversity and glamour of the city. He said the NSW Government had provided an $800,000 grant towards funding the new festivals and added:

"The grant confirms that Liverpool has become a destination of choice for thousands of Sydneysiders coming here to enjoy the fun and colour of spectacular celebrations."

He said that each of the new festivals will bring something new and exciting, with Motherland set to be held from 26 to 28 May, showcasing an African experience through dancing and drumming together with artisan stalls and fashion.

Latin American entertainment and food will feature at Primavera (20-22 October) while the island nation cuisine and culture will be on show at Pacific Summer (17-19 November). Events such as these are often widely advertised via poster and brochure printing campaigns.

The Mayor said council was keen to establish more festivals for the enjoyment of locals and visitors in the future.
