A state-of-the-art, mixed-use development is set to make a significant contribution to Liverpool.
Liverpool Civic Place will be a welcome addition to the city’s southern end, offering a lively new identity and anchor for the community and visitors to the area. Located at 52 Scott Street, the development will incorporate council services, commercial spaces, retail outlets and educational areas. There will also be a nine-level hotel that may be used as student accommodation.
The masterplan is geared towards environmental sustainability, which has been the case for many new developments across the nation. The inclusion of public art, wide footpaths and more street trees will bring vibrancy to the new space.
Privately owned builder Built Holdings has undertaken the $400 million project, which will cement Liverpool as Sydney’s third CBD. The development will be delivered over a two-stage plan – the council works component, and the developer works component. It is expected that the works will employ 350 people on site, 30 of which will be graduates or apprentices.
Projects like this one can quickly lift the profile and economy of a city once completed. Promotional materials for services and businesses entering such an area can be sourced from local Print shops.
With demolition and excavation works close to completion, Liverpool Civic Place is expected to be finished by early 2023.
