Cultural celebration to head for Liverpool

The City of Liverpool is holding a multicultural event this year that celebrates the cuisine, traditions and music of 10 different nations, and residents from around the area are invited to attend.

Citizens with a love for the suburb’s diverse culture can therefore attend an event called “Lanterns and Lights”. The morning into afternoon celebrations will bring the tastes, sounds and sights of Asia to the city, and entertainment and activities are planned that will appeal to a full range of age groups.

Planners of cultural events sometimes depend on skilled banner printing services that can supply attractive signage and decorations boasting the national colours and flags of countries being represented.

Liverpool residents arriving on the day can spend time immersed in live performances and surrounded by specialist food vendors from Asian nations like Japan, Indonesia, The Philippines, Vietnam, Korea, Thailand, China, Laos and Nepal. There will also be roving performers, live musicians, traditional dance displays, special giveaways and more.

The Lanterns and Lights 2026 event will be held at the Liverpool Powerhouse on Sunday, May 31. The venue is situated at 1 Powerhouse Road in the Liverpool suburb of Casula, and it is accessible via Shepherd Street. The festivities will get underway from 10 am and end at 4 pm, with admission to the event free to all.
