New venue for Liverpool Night Markets

The Liverpool Night Markets were successfully relaunched in March this year when the event was moved to the grounds of the historic St Luke's Church in the heart of the city, and its next instalment is now just weeks away.

An alcohol-free event, the markets are boosted a variety of food stalls with international cuisine including Thai, Turkish, French, Mexican, Jamaican and Spanish. Food was not the only draw card, as a host of family friendly entertainment and free activities were offered. In particular, the Danlaw Medieval Fighting Society hosted a medieval banquet, light fighting demonstrations, medieval dress up, story time, and face painting, as well as arts and crafts.

Mayor Ned Mannoun told the Liverpool City Council:

"The Night Markets have outgrown their original home in Macquarie Street, where they operated successfully since May 2014.

"The Night Markets have been a great success at activating Liverpool's night time economy. The new location is only going to make our city even more vibrant at night."

The markets are held quarterly, with the next one on June 4. The theme is 'Winter' and the city council is advertising for more local businesses to get involved. They are seeking both stallholders and performers. Events like this are often promoted through Posters and stalls will probably use this opportunity to promote their goods with Flyers and custom Business Cards.
