Liverpool library offers new learning scheme

A chance for people to update their technology skills and understanding is being offered by a Liverpool library.

Those looking to learn new technology skills will not want to miss the ongoing programme of talks now being held at the Liverpool City Library. Dubbed “Tech Talk Tuesdays”, the specially designed sessions will cover a different subject each month.

Each one-off class will explore different elements of today’s technology and will allow those taking part to learn how this technology is impacting their lives. The talks will also help them understand these technologies in order to get the maximum benefit from them. Libraries and enterprises offering learning opportunities like this can count on professional Print shops to create high-quality course materials.

July’s talk will cover popular social media platforms, showcasing Facebook’s features, while August’s will look at how to remain secure online and will show users how to spot potential scams. In September, those attending can learn how to use the library’s own platforms, on which users can access newspapers, electronic Books and more. The last talk, to be held in October, will explain the importance of backing up personal devices and will show those taking part how they can avoid losing data.

Tech Talk Tuesday’s will be held at the Liverpool City Library at Library Plaza, 170 George Street in Liverpool from Tuesday, July 6 until Tuesday, October 19.
