A rock group from New York City are set to play live in Sydney.
Music fans from Liverpool and other suburbs will get a chance to see New York favourites The Strokes as they steal the stage at Moore Park’s Hordern Pavilion. Celebrated live music venues often look to professional poster printing services to create eye-catching advertisements for upcoming gigs and shows.
Already booked for Australia’s Splendour in the Grass in July, the rockers will also be performing sideshows in Sydney and both Melbourne. The US group formed in 1998 with Julian Casablancas on vocals, Nikolai Fraiture on bass guitar, Fabrizio Moretti on drums and Albert Hammond Junior and Nick Valensi on guitars.
The Strokes were part of the 2000 revival of indie rock. After releasing the EP “The Modern Age”, the band followed it with their debut studio album called “Is This It”. Released through RCA Records, the award-winning album gave the band immediate critical success.
Those attending the upcoming concert will get a chance to hear the band play a diverse set-list, which may include early singles like “Last Night”, “New York City Cops” and “Soma”.
The Strokes will now play live at the Hordern Pavilion, located at 1 Driver Avenue in Moore Park, Sydney, on Friday, July 29, with strong support from The Chats and The Lazy Eyes.
