Liverpool area to toast Japanese drink

An upcoming event in Sydney is set to celebrate the world-renowned dram of Japan.

Fans of Japanese food and drink from Liverpool and other suburbs of the city will not want to miss Sydney’s Australian Sake Festival. Taking place on World Sake Day, the event will honour the famous drink and the multiple breweries across Australia currently producing the beverage.

Over 200 sakes will be offered on the day, including those that are umeshu and yuzushu in style to suit different tastes. Vendors exhibiting at major events across Australia can sometimes bring along a supply of Business Cards to help them keep in contact with new customers.

Those looking to sample Japanese cuisine will not be disappointed either, with sushi, wagyu and sashimi served onsite along with vegan alternatives, catering for guest with different diets.

Sake tastings will take place and attendees can purchase a bottle of their choice to takeaway or buy Australian-made sake-ware pottery. There will also be an informative panel of industry experts, a live taiko drum performance and an awards ceremony.

The Australian Sake Festival will be held at Paddington Town Hall, located on Oxford Street in Paddington, Sydney on October 1. The event will begin at 11 am and end at 6 pm, and all wishing to attend must be at least 18 years of age or over to enjoy admission.
