The event is set to be a regular fixture each month throughout 2019 and many familiar titles will feature in the screenings for all ages to enjoy. Spirited Away is scheduled to screen in Liverpool on February 1 followed by Karate Kid in March and on April 5, Rise of the Guardians will be shown.
The first screening, which took place on January 4 at Macquarie Mall and featured Finding Nemo was extremely well attended, according to Liverpool Mayor Wendy Waller who added:
“As our city grows and changes, it’s important that we ensure it remains a place where the community can come together and enjoy life. We do this with big events, like our Australia Day celebrations at Woodward Park, but also through the many smaller events we hold at our libraries, parks and recreation centres throughout the year.”
She said activities such as Movies in the Mall gives families an opportunity to step out into the community. Events such as this often use poster printing to inform the local community that they are taking place.
All films are to be shown at Macquarie Mall from 6:30pm on the first Friday of each month. They will be rated G or PG and families are invited to take along their bean Bags or deck chairs. A food truck will also be on site.Get a Free Quote for Bags
