An access course for those looking to become a barber quickly is coming to New South Wales.
Budding barbers from Liverpool and other suburbs of Sydney will not want to miss this opportunity to start their new year with a brand-new career. The upcoming event, entitled “Become a Barber”, is a short course designed to help interested individuals take their first steps to start working as professional men’s hairdresser.
From freelance stylists and hairdressers to professional barbers, professionals who cut hair often carry branded Business Cards to promote their skills and expand the circle of clients they serve.
The course is offered entirely for free and will take place over eight days, split into four-hour-long sessions. It is designed to provide prospective barbers with a firm foundation in their chosen trade that they can then build upon. Those attending the learning experience will learn how to design haircut structures, along with the best methods and practices for maintaining and organising equipment, tools and work areas.
To be eligible for the free course, candidates must work or live in New South Wales, be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or be a permanent resident or a humanitarian visa holder, and have already left school.
The “Become a Barber” course will run from January 10 to January 21 at TAFE, 500 Chapel Road in Bankstown.
