Sustainability market comes to Gladesville

Gladesville residents can soon join others in their community for a sustainability market.

At the Eden Gardens Sustainability Market, there will be a number of talks led by experts, with topics covering how to transform a backyard for wildlife, techniques for designing a garden that is resilient in variable climate and methods to grow produce well in limited spaces.

Attendees will have an opportunity to network with various individuals and organisations that are knowledgeable in local and international issues related to sustainability. At such community events, business card printing can be an effective way for businesses to promote their products and services and help marketgoers remember them well after the event.

Participants can expect to find artisans and producers of woven and vegan friendly products. There will be a spinning demonstration as well, which will involve the utilisation of fibres from natural sources such as hemp, bamboo and banana leaves.

They can also expect to gain new skills at workshops that involve making fermented drinks and cleaning materials that are natural, along with learning about herbs used for healing. Other activities include going for a walk to look for weeds that are edible, bird watching, forest bathing and the cultivation of worms.

The event is free to attend and will be held on April 10th from 9.30am to 3.30pm.
