Ryde hospital, located near Gladesville, is set for a major $479 million upgrade.
New South Wales Premier, Gladys Berejiklian explained that about $864 million had been allocated to deliver premier healthcare and additional beds at both Ryde and St. George Hospitals. She said that in addition, the government would also be investing $76 million into the area of elective surgery with the main focus on cataract patients and children.
The announcement follows hot on the heels of news that 5,000 more midwives and nurses are to be recruited together with additional doctors and more health professionals. This, it was stated, represents an investment of $2.8 billion and also a boost to the health workforce by up to 8,300.
When new projects and developments are announced, services such as graphic design and flyer printing can be integral to successful delivery and to keep the community up to date.
The upgrade to Ryde Hospital, which was established in 1934, is expected to completely transform the facility, according to Victor Dominello, Member for Ryde, who added:
“This $479 million investment will create a new Ryde Hospital. The historic Denistone House will be preserved and be surrounded by modern and enhanced emergency, critical care, inpatient, community and ambulatory care services, as well as maternity services.”
He said the hospital’s redevelopment plans will involve talks with hospital staff and local communities prior to construction beginning.
