Residents of Gladesville are invited to attend and be inspired by the region’s artists.
A wide array of local artists’ work will be on display at the 58th Ryde Art Award Exhibition. Artwork will range from still life, landscapes, streetscapes, contemporary realist and abstract paintings and prints.
A special award is being sponsored by the City of Ryde. It is looking for artwork depicting a subject that lays within the bounds of the city.
The event is in its 58th year and entry is free. Sponsors of the event include the City of Ryde Council, Bendigo North Ryde Community Bank and the City of Ryde Art Society. The event will be held at the North Ryde School of Arts Community Centre.
Art exhibitions offer local businesses seeking to create unique Corporate Gifts an opportunity discover emerging local artists. All the works on display will be available for sale.
The awards on offer include the emerging artist award, the President’s Young Artist award, the People’s Choice award and many more.
The exhibition is open from Friday 26th October through to 2nd November at 201 Cox’s Road, North Ryde. The official grand opening and awards presentation will take place from 4pm on Sunday 28th October.
