Proposed Gladesville apartments attract strong interest

For the first week of September, the most viewed property listed on realestate.com.au from anywhere in the country was one that has not even been built yet.

Buyers flocked to the website to view a computer-generated tour of the planned 30 unit apartment complex in Gladesville on Sydney’s North Shore.

The Victoria Road block, named Via, is to offer a mix of 1-3 bedroom properties with city views and garden courtyards. The complex is scheduled to be completed late in 2020 and will also be close to a good number of desirable amenities as well as shops and cafes.

Sandra Goodwin of property management firm LW Phoenix believes many prospective buyers are eyeing the property not only for its location but its price. One bedroom apartments are currently starting at $600,000 after the developer discounted the asking price by 5% to drive off the plan sales. Apartment developers often promote the plan sales with promotional Pens and custom Letterheads.

Goodwin said of the units:

“They compare well with units in Green Square, Alexandria and Waterloo and they are still only 15 minutes from the Sydney CBD.”

She noted Via presents good value for first home buyers wanting to get into the market and young professionals needing proximity to the Sydney CBD.
